A well fed tiger is bulky, broad in the shoulders, back, and loins. Males are generally longer and heavier than females. The average length for males is about 6 feet long and with a tail length of 3 feet long. Females are usually 6 to 12 inches shorter in body length.A tiger's fur color varies from orange-red to tawny yellow, with a lot of black stripes that have different lengths and widths. The cheeks, throat, and the insides of the ears and legs are white. The back of the ear is black with a white spot in the center. Tigers are solitary animals and territorial animals. It is estimated the world population of tigers has fallen to less than 8,000. A Liger is a hybrid cross between a male lion and a female tiger, this only happens in captivity as Tigers do not occupy the same territories in the wild as Lions.

Zebra is a large, hoofed mammal related to the horse. It is easily recognized by its attractive black and white striped body. Their stripes come in different patterns unique to each individual. They are generally social animals that live in small harems to large herds. Unlike their closest relatives, horses and asses, zebras have never been truly domesticated. All three species of zebra live in Africa. The mountain zebra is the smallest of the species, and prefers rocky terrain in southern Africa. The common zebra and Grevy’s zebra live on the plains. Zebras form large grazing herds usually led by an old stallion, and are constantly on the lookout for their greatest enemy, the lion.
